OUR TEAM
Jan Adámek was in the hotel business for many years as a hotel general manager. In 2003, he secured the acquisition of 5* Hotel Jalta in Prague on Wenceslas Square for a British investor, and three years later the acquisition of 4* Hotel Plaza Alta in Prague 7. He managed both hotels until 2010.
He received the best hotel training in the British MaMaison chain, where he worked alongside renowned top manager Roberto Varsalona.
Jan Adámek has also been president of the Prague Convention Bureau for several years, which seeks to increase the number of congress events and conferences in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic.
After joining the real estate sector, he realised that real estate agencies don’t usually deal with something as complicated as selling, buying or leasing a hotel. Conversions to square meters simply don’t work here.
Today, he successfully combines his knowledge of the real estate market and hotel practice at his company JAN Hospitality, which provides consultancy and services for hotel and restaurant facilities.
Twenty years of active scouting taught him what’s most important in his words, which is that rules, truth and fairness are essential. He has brought that legacy to JAN Hospitality, which is currently working for dozens of domestic and foreign companies. Honesty, knowledge of the environment and the needs of hotel operators and owners, experience in the real estate business and the need to continually learn and improve provided services, are the reasons for JAN Hospitality’s success.
But life is not just about work. Jan Adámek is the father of two boys of school age and spends much of his time with his family, travelling, playing sports, enjoys photography and cultural events.
In addition, he has chaired Prague’s New Town Association for ten years, an initiative that wants to make Wenceslas Square a place where people feel good and where they want to spend time.
He speaks fluent English and Spanish, and can also communicate in German, French and Russian.
